What is the difference between outsourcing and offshoring?

Human Nexus does both at once: we source dedicated staff in Pakistan or the Philippines and manage them on your behalf. The distinction matters because Human Nexus is not a service bureau taking on a process. We place a dedicated person who works for you, full-time, in your tools. You direct the work. We manage the employment.

How is my offshore team managed day to day?

You direct the work directly. Your offshore team member reports to your managers, attends your meetings, works in your project management tools, and follows your processes. Human Nexus provides in-hub operational oversight and a dedicated Australian account manager who stays across performance and HR matters. The operational relationship sits with you. The employer relationship sits with us.

Who owns the IP created by my offshore team?

Accepted Answer

Under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) s.196(3), an assignment of copyright must be in writing and signed. Human Nexus includes a written IP assignment in every client agreement. All work product created by your offshore team member vests in your entity, not in Human Nexus or the individual.

What happens to my data under Australian privacy law?

Under Section 16C of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principle 8, an Australian business remains accountable for any breach of the APPs by an overseas recipient of personal information. Human Nexus addresses this by executing an enforceable data processing agreement with every client before any personal information is shared. That agreement requires APP-equivalent protections and includes a breach notification obligation. Your legal exposure sits with a compliant Australian firm, not an uncontrolled offshore party.

Is there a minimum term or hours commitment?

The minimum engagement is 20 hours per week with an initial three-month term. After three months, engagements move to rolling 30-day notice. We do not offer ad hoc hourly bookings or short project bursts. The model is designed for businesses that need consistent, ongoing support, not overflow work.

How quickly can you get someone started?

Accepted Answer

From discovery call to your team member's first day is typically two to four weeks. That covers role briefing, candidate sourcing, shortlisting, your interviews, employment contracting, and workspace provisioning. For senior or specialist roles, add another week. If you have an urgent requirement, tell us in the first call and we will advise on what is achievable.

Question 7

What happens if someone leaves?

Human Nexus provides a 90-day replacement guarantee. If your team member resigns or leaves within the first 90 days, we recruit and onboard a replacement at no additional cost. After 90 days, if you need to replace someone, we manage the process and begin sourcing immediately. The 30-day notice period applies to the exiting team member.

What is Human Nexus's sourcing model, do you have captive centres in Pakistan and the Philippines?

Human Nexus operates through a curated network of vetted partner offices in Lahore, Islamabad, and Makati. We do not operate a captive offshore centre. Our partners provide managed workspace, HR, IT infrastructure, and on-site supervision. Every engagement is structured with the same oversight model regardless of which partner office your team member sits in.
